Congrats! I think I would choose...Both of them in fact!
Jason Smith made another white over paisley for the same dealer, maybe one year ago, and I was gasing at it at this time, but they don't ship FCS to Europe, so I could only afford to take a pic for my computer screen  .
Enjoy yours, and +1 for an audio or video demo if you find the time!

I like the DP one if I had to pick one of them. I'd rather have a NOS model but that's just my preference. Enjoy them my friend!! 8)

BTW, welcome to the forum!!

Ditto on the welcome. Frank and I are of similar mind on finish, though Alain seems to favor it. Two out of three from the 'vintage' vault. Frank and I own Gilmour NOS's. Alain has a relic. I'm older, but not as cool.
Gene: Are you on Long Island too, or just wise your choice of vendor? If not, you'd really like the look of their new location.

WOW!

They both look absolutely amazing but the blue one edges it for me because it's just so damn purdy with all that colour going on.

Thank you for all the comments. I haven't even touched them yet as I'm away for work at the moment and will only be back during Christmas. The pics were taken by my friend. There have been a few post about this run on TGP with some liking them and some loathing them. Pretty funny! I love them both and will keep them as a set I think. The Music Zoo has a great inventory for MBs and John there was very helpful. Their website is seriously dangerous to one's wallet!

As a side note, I'm looking for a John Cruz Masterbuilt 61' Strat Heavy Relic, Oly white over 3 tone sunburst that was produced in 2011. From the same run as the one in my pic. Maybe I should create a new thread on this. But if anyone knows where I can find one, I would really appreciate pointing me in the right direction! Anyone seen one for sale?

ME: I've been meaning to do a custom order pair of MBs Strats by John Cruz, but have been told the wait is now 3 years! :o 24 months I can handle, but 3 years is really long.

Gotta raise the coin to cover those new local and county taxes they're going to pay. Ever been out to Roslyn, NY??

Now THAT'S a truly great idea!!! Order a NOS finished white over Paisley... don't tell whoever buys it... when such a guitar turns into a naturally aged relic it's owner will be in for a BIG surprise. 8)

They are here! Thanks UPS!

Left to right:

MB '69 Strat Pearl White over Pink Paisley, Joh Cruz MB '61 Strat Heavy Relic (not mine), MB 69 Strat Daphne Blue over Pink Paisley

Blimey!

Relic's aren't really my thing, but those three look awesome! 8)

The white over sunburst looks very much like a Philip Sayce Mother Strat clone. Can anyone confirm if it is? Either way its Very cool.

Cheers!

Andy

^^^That Oly White over 3-tone above is an incredible looking guitar, and the swagger and coolness is just dripping off of it!

@ZZDoc Hey Doc, never been out to Roslyn, only to Brooklyn and Jersey. I'll definitely make the trip to the Music Zoo though if I had the chance!

Thanks again. The Oly White over 3 Tone is my buddy's new baby. Its a 2011 John Cruz '61 Strat Heavy Relic. Its an extremely cool guitar. I've been gassing for it as well but he won't sell it to me. I can't find another for sale, so I'll be getting one built with John with a matching Tele as a pair. Only problem is I've been quoted anything from 2 years to 3 years for the wait which sucks…the paisley twins will be keeping me busy I guess.

What do you think of a vintage Oly white over 3 tone sunburst Strat and tele…?

Gene,
I wanted to ask if you would like to sell the 61 John Cruz strat? If so, email me at jonfuentes07@yahoo.com

What a beautiful '61 Cruz!

Is it one with a pin-up on the back?

A similar one has been sold and you can see more pictures here.

Yes thats the one. I found one for sale but it wasn't as nice as the one above. Pinup girl looked a bit off and the relicing was not as nice so I let it go.

Still looking for one, so please let me know if you spot another for sale. Thanks!
