Hi everyone, first post here.

Had to share my excitement about these 2 beauties I picked up from the Music Zoo.

I realize they may not be to everyones taste, but they BLEW my mind when I first laid eyes on them. They were so different from anything else I had seen recently and I just had a gut feel, "gotta have it", instant connection with them. I couldn't think of anything else for the next few days (and nights). Spent the next few days agonizing over color.

In the end, I couldn't decide between the two so I bought them both. How do you ask a man to choose between his 'children'?

I haven't seen them in the flesh yet and doing so would probably tip it one way or the other, but still a tough call in my book.

Specs (taken from Music Zoo website):

Fender CS One-Off Jason Smith MB '69 Strat Relic

• Daphne Blue/Pearl White over Pink Paisley Finish
• Ash Body
• "C" Shape Quartersawn Maple Neck
• Maple Fretboard
• 25.5" Scale Length
• .850" Neck Thickness at 1st Fret
• .910" Neck Thickness at 12th Fret
• 9.5" Fretboard Radius
• 21 Medium Jumbo Frets
• 3 Abby Handwound ‘69 Single-Coil Strat® Pickups
• RW/RP Middle Pickup
• 5-Way Pickup Selector Switch
• Schaller Tuning Machines
• -Single Ply Parchment Pickguard
• Aged Plastic Parts
• Chrome Hardware

I like the DP one if I had to pick one of them. I'd rather have a NOS model but that's just my preference. Enjoy them my friend!! 8)

BTW, welcome to the forum!!

I love them and GASed quite a long time on them, before deciding to purchase the Rosewood Strat. Same dealer. :D

Those are two nice strats! Make sure to post some pictures of the real thing when they arrive.

I'm GASing over a '59 Closet Classic at the shop near me. Would love to pull the trigger!

Classic guitars! Aren't they 5grand a pop? Very envious in a friendly way.
I like the white best. Red and white make a great contrast. :D

Found this nice Masterbuilt 70's Antigua Precision crafted by Jason himself, a faithful recreation of a classic original from the folks at the Fender Custom Shop:
