Hello chromeface,

I heard about the 25db midboost being in the RSS model with the big stars.
Just wanted to further the information I had confirmed from Fender.

I got the information from a fender consumer relations person.

Bye Julia

There's no need to use a big font... you probably just got different information or information sources.

If my memory serves me right Chromeface has got the right right info; the old version with the floyd rose bridge had the 25db boost, the one with the 50's bridge had the 12db boost. Never heard anything about old models having the weaker boost system.

Hey chromeface / Robert R.,

didn't mean to offend anybody. Internet (wikipedia) states that as well, I mean the 25db boost.
I had asked somebody from consumer relations, mentioned that fact to him about the 25db boost and was told, that's the information they have in their archives (with the 12db boost, none other boost mentioned).

Just didn't want to spread some wrong information, since I don't have it black on white (wikipedia sometimes has wrong information) that's all I wanted to confirm.

Hope nobody is mad at me though.

Bye JULIA

Of course we're not mad at you. We are all here to gather and share knowlegde. The thing with internet is that besides a lot of good information there is also a lot of misinformation out there. With the vast amount of models out there apparently even Fender own customer relations dept. can't keep up with everything...

Take care!
Robert
