Hey guys and gals,

Sorry if this has already been posted, but back 2-3 months ago I read in Guitarist 25th anniversary edition that tehy rated the top 25 guitars from the past 25 years. Some of the guitars were, Cobain Jag Stang, couple of Pauls, Taylors, Martins, PRS, etc.

The text and pictures in this editon were very well done. Anyway, Fender Eric CLapton Stratocaster won the award for the top guitar over the past 25 years. The only thing I cannot remember is whether it was a CS version or the regualr ole factory version. Anyway, I guess that really doesnt matter in the end. That legendary guitar that so many of us own or have owned at one time picked up first place. That is awesome.

Again, sorry if already posted. its litereally been 30-40 days back. Better late than never. Thought y'all would like to know.

Take care,

Scott

Ditto! It's been quite a well received product on this Forum.

What is that you guys love, in particular?

I found the neck too thin at first, but damn, it's fast!

The boost pot is what I like best, and the Vintage Noiseless are so excellent that I (almost) don't miss the Abby HW I had on a TK 58 I sold.

The neck is what I like the best but just the over all guitar is great.

This doesn't surprise me. You'd be hard-pressed to find someone who's had a bad experience with an EC Strat. The neck is comfortable, the Lace Sensors are awesome, the TBX is handy, and the boost is a neat, hidden feature to boot. I had one with the VNs which was okay, but I prefer the Lace -- they can do everything the VNs can do, and then some.

I have a 2010 LTD EC in Grey. Absolutely love mine. The neck is probably the #1 feature, but the overall feel is great. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, the body is a '56 design, with that 9.5 V neck, it's a perfect combo. Not to crazy about the TBX, but love the boost. Thought about changing the TBX to a standard pot, but did not want to change anything to keep it's value. Just this year I was offered $1,000 more than I paid for it. Given that it's a LTD Grey, few were made, and they will only go up in value. Probably never sell it though, it's part of my collection family :-). If you don't have a Clapton, treat yourself!
