I never imagined to find a Clapton/Gilmour "hybrid" Strat masterbuilt by Todd Krause almost two years ago!

This guitar is essentially an Eric Clapton Blackie signature model dressed in a Dave Gilmour suit because it sports a 1-ply black pickguard in place of the usual bright white. Serial number is CZ513084.

Any comments?

So you have a black Strat with black pick guard. So Where are the Gilmour parts? Oh you mean that pick guard. Looks cool.

You forget the shortened whammy (not necessary as the bridge is blocked unless you remove the little chunk of wood from the cavity to unblock it).

You could fall in love with that guitar all over again. I really like that heavy black pickguard.

I wonder for which reason Todd chose putting a black pickguard instead of the usual white.

In his place I would exchange the VNs for a DG20 set.

Agreed.

Always wanted to do that with a Clapton, but now you're where I left off with Chromeface on the thread about the Red Strat. In the matter of the scratchplate, it looks to be the heavier material used on the Gilmour which is really nice. I will say, though, that the black scratchplate with the red border (Warmoth) which Xhefri used on one of his project guitars looked fabulous.
