Thanks for the effort. The meter is not quite right. I assumed that song was known....
It begins: 'Sixteen men on a dead man's chest..Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum"
...therefore....extrapolating....we would have:

Tinted neck on a Clapton Strat!
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum
Will the Custom Shop do that?
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.........and so on. :?

i dont know if i would go so far as to call it 'tinted'...but the neck on his grigio doesnt look quite as 'white' as some of the others.

also, once i was finally able to see close up and HD shots of the neck on some of the concerts, i could swear there is the slightest bit of flame there in places....i have been assured by one who would know that it is just plain rift sawn cut of wood, but.... :D :?:

Hi Ufboy,

I saw EC perform live with his EC Grey guitars while they were very new, and the necks were very white. The necks just get a little darker with age and exposure to sunlight, more recent pictures of EC playing the guitars show that the neck color has indeed darkened a bit.

I'm 100% with you that there is flame in the necks of the EC Grey guitars. It's very subtle, yet clearly visible in some shots. In the blue ray Clapton/Winwood DVD there are some good high quality close-up shots of the neck clearly showcasting a subtle flame.

My daphne blue EC 's got subtle ghost flames on its neck. I always look it in razorlight before and after playing it :D .
I don't know if it's standart on the new ECs, or if I'm lucky
