OK...before we subject ourselves to a FMIC code rating on these guitars I'd just take a moment to respond to Chromeface who obviously has been thinking along the same lines as I when I first saw that guitar. I suppose ME is the one to put the question to.

No. Not an approved color, not the electronics he is using.

Absolutely right Alain! It has managed to go 1 year and a half like that with no changes, still milky white and hope to keep it that way, just like yours. Always follow the great tips of the master if you don't mind my saying so.
THANKS!
M.

ME

I just rephrased the question to Mike's Forum. Given that they will use the paint, you might get exactly what you want if you specify the neck shape, pickups, preamp electronics, no signature and they build it. I did that very thing about 7 years ago. I've discussed that before.

Wow...I've been having so much fun around here  I hadn't noticed. By the way, I've already alerted John at 'the Zoo' to have two Strats...a 10/56 and a Deluxe V-neck out for me to look at. Hope to gain further insight into the matter. Taking my tape measure w/me as well. Regrettably for many, Doc is used to working metric, something you and Alain will appreciate.

BTW: I just realized that 'yo ho ho and a bottle of rum', works well metrically with the title of this thread. Any one for the next line..... :?:

So one would expect....thus put the question...was there something of that sort as a prototype, which we've never seen, prior to the name change and the final 'pewter' guitar. Perhaps the grigio silverstone aka EC Grey was a throw back to that finish which never happened.

Vintage was not the adult beverage of the lot who were proported to sing songs like: 'Sixteen men on a dead man's chest, Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.'

Sorry Doc, I was just playing the yo ho ho game while trying to keep relevant to the topic, as in,

An-thra-cite's dark-er than Pew-ter...
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum

As for your above response, I'm not qualified to comment
