johnjaypl - My first electric guitar was a Strat. Since then I've played Tele's, Les Paul's, SG's, etc. I have found that I like different things about each guitar. I don't like the small bodies of Les Paul's and SG's, but I like how light the SG is. I like the wider body of my Strat but I would love it if it was just a little bit lighter. From what I've read about chambered bodies they decrease the weight of the guitar (which is what I want) and they add a little fatter tone, which is also nice because I like that humbucker sound (which I eventually wanna put in my Strat too).

Alright thanks for the info. Don't be surprised if I have another question tomorrow. Haha.

Fender makes some pretty light Custom Shop strats. Maybe they're light enough. How light were you thinking? Is a guitar like this too heavy?

It looks light enough. I might just go for a solid body and get used to it. Haha. After all this forum of course. :P
