Here's my amazing Wildwood 10 Masterbuilt Strat. How do I care for the bare wood neck? Can I hit the back with the occasional steel wool to smooth things out or do I need to sweat more? :D Thanks!

I normally take a green scotchbrite pad to the back of my glossy necks, but no way in hell would I do it to a Custom Shop (getting my very first one sometime around October of this year 8) ).
I also have a 2010 Gibson Firebird V that I wouldn't do it to. But the neck is superfast, even if it has a gloss finish.
