I feel Sean's pain. Mike just HAD to show me this guitar. No where yet are the specs. I wonder if it could be had with a Clapton neck carve.

The Music Zoo has nothing posted to date either. Nice to learn they're moving closer to me, though. That's gonna make my day and save me a trip.

Nice axe, IMO.

I believe this guitar also comes with a 'bucker in the bridge.

Hi Mike, thanks for this. Question: The one-sheet of Roadshow models/specs that was being handing out at the Roadshow (i.e., this year's version of the PDF that was online last year) lists the pickups of the Custom Deluxe FMT (model 923-5000-067) as "Master Design Fat 50's".

But the corresponding photo for this model that you linked to above lists the pickups as just "Master Design Strat".

I believe that when Fender uses that name "Master Design Strat", most typically they are referring to "John Cruz Master Design Pickups", which I believe is the stock pickup on both the Wildwood Dealer Select 10s, and the 2011 Custom Deluxe.

But I had been of the belief that "Master Design Fat '50s" (which spec The Music Zoo has gone so far as to list as "John Cruz Fat '50s" on their website for this model), are a different pickup design from "John Cruz Master Design" pickups.

So, first of all, was I mistaken that "John Cruz Master Design" and "John Cruz Fat '50s" are two different pickups? Are those names, in fact, synonyms for the exact same pickup design?

And, if they are indeed two different pickup designs, then which one of them is actually in model 923-5000-067 (the "Master Design" as listed on the photo you just published and linked to above, or the "Fat 50s" as listed on the sheet that was being distributed at the Roadshow itself)?

Glad we cleared that one up. Hope it gets you a buyer.:!: 8)....but....now it's got me wondering if they're the same pickups John designed for the ''83" :?

Robert: it may be different for different guitars: on one they indicated 'no load tone pot'.{Tone pot #2??} Another, the middle pickup tone pot controls the bridge pickup as well. {on all the Strats??} Another has a RW/RP middle pickup. Given the confusion with the pickup descriptors, perhaps a re-edit across the board is in order. :? More clarifed and more detailed. You can find these details on the Music Zoo website, though they are not showing the guitar with the Abby Wound pickups thus far.

Hi Doc,

It's probably that the bridge pickup is wired into the tone control circuit. I gather the no load tone pot does the same as the TBX?

[/quote]The circuitry specs are not detailed for all three Strats. As far as the TBX...it's a treble/bass cut as opposed to a total pass through. I'm given to understand that, even on 10, there's still some TBX influence on the signal which is why, I believe, that EC took it out of his guitars.

The middle tone control also works on the back pickup.
