Hi, i'm wondering of the white pickguards on the closet classic '60 to '63 strat has a "plane" even surface on it (like on the tremolo back plate) or if it's "wrinkly" just like on the NOS '60 guards?

Your question is unclear.

Plain surface versus wrinkly... :?:

By wrinkly i surmise you are referring to the insulating adhesive film on the back of the pickguard.. :?:

It's just plain smooth like any others. What do you mean by wrinkly?

The only reason I am keeping my subscription to this thread open is to see if the OP returns and defines "wrinkly". Its been a week already and no joy.

Have you bothered to peel the protective plastic sheet off of the outside of the pickguard? That may make the pickguard look "wrinkly". All Fender pickguards have been flat and smooth since the beginning of time.

Good call... not in a million years would it have occurred to me that this may be the OP's Q..
So simple as to be completely missed..

When you remove the plastic coating, there will often be a thin layer of glue left on the PG. May seem like the PG is "wrinkeled" :-)
This is easily removed with some non-acetone nail polish remover.
Did this yesterday with my CS 60 NOS.

Somehow I doubt the OP is listening anymore.
