I am currently at an impasse and wish to canvas some opinion.....
I may have to sell one of my two strats, I have tried making the choice based on how they play but to be honest both appeal equally to me.

If you guys had to choose, what would be your preference....

Here are my x2 Strats, a CS Gilmour Relic and a EC Masterbuilt by Greg Fessler.

My preference would be to keep both and maybe sell a child or other close relative........failing that maybe a kidney......??? :?

I know this problem.

I own an EC Strat and played the Gilmour.

The Gilmour looks great, it didn't impress me. I love my EC Strat from the moment I first played it.

The question is which one do you play more?

Thanks for the replies guys, I agree that the MB EC is the "better" of the two but I also get all nostalgic over the DG..... damn.

I am going to hang on to both for at least another month, when either a more focused choice is apparent or I have some financial joy :D

Cheers again.

Why are you selling either of them? By the way you can also get an EC Artist Series Strat as a replacement if really have to deside.

I vote for keeping both and working more hours, hence increased income. Or a part time job.
( that is what I did ) If you sell one in this current market you will get a big loss from initial purchase cost. Not worth it, especially since you say you like both of them.
It's one thing to sell a CS because it does not fit in but in your case... I say hold on..
I would sell the, or any less valuable guitars before, such as an MIM or an MIA standard, but the CS's once you sell one, they are difficult to replace and you will still be out the purchase price versus the sold return value.

Cheers guys, some good comments to think on there. Thanks for taking the time.

I fully agree with letting them go then in the future wishing you had not. I have done this with other Fender and PRS guitars in the past PLUS the fact that I keep my gear pristine, someone is really getting a bargain and that loss can be difficult to bare.
