Hi guys,

I have just purchased a C.S. custom order, N.O.S. 69 strat in Olympic White with a Maple neck (should be with me tomorrow). my question is, the neck is one piece AA Flamed maple with a skunk stripe and walnut plug at the headstock. I thought all C.S. 69 necks were two piece necks Maple/Maple or Rosewood/Maple. The seller also has another 69 but a Relic which has a two piece maple neck.
Which one is correct, or are they both correct.

Hi Mike, photos as requested, if you need any others or pics of specific areas please let me know.
The guitar is supposed to be a Dealer Custom Order, the differences from the standard being the AA neck, a 10" neck radius and AY hand wound/ signed pickups.

"Dealer Custom Order" = all bets are off as far as vintage correct.
It has Abby handwounds too.

Not if it's ordered that way.
That's why it's called the Custom Shop.

Real 69 strats have two piece necks. No skunk stripe and no headstock plug.

That cs strat with stripe and plug is more like a 71 spec. I wouldn't call it a 69.

Hi guys,

Many thanks for the replies, this morning I spoke to the guy who ordered the guitar for the store, he explained that the neck was ordered as a one piece because of it being an AA flame, they wanted the flame to be matching between the front and the back of the neck. Makes sense I suppose.

It looks gorgeous, I ordered the neck of my '71 spec just like that -minus the AA flame.
Just call it a '71 instead! :)
