I picked up a Custom Classic Strat & love it.

My one question is that there seems to be nothing that fixes the tremolo arm in place. It just drops into the hole in the bridge. There are no threads on it, only an indented ring around the end that fits into the bridge. If I were to turn the guitar face down, it would drop out.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Yes - just give it a GENTLE push into hole and it should click into place.

Reverse will take a GENTLE pull and it will come back out again.

Thanks Caleb,
Right now, I'm probably pushing with about 10lbs of pressure & I get no click.

I got a flashlight & looked down the trem hole and saw a piece of wire that appears that to be there for the purpose of going into the detent ring on the trem arm. I noticed that this wire was off to one side, so I deliberatly pointed the trem arm away from it when placing it in & with about ten pounds of force it clicked in. If I tried to go straight it, it didn't feel like it was going to go in at all. About twenty five pounds of force were required to remove it & even at that, I had to pull it in a direction away from the wire in the trem arm hole.

That's way too much force, in my opinion. I tried it several times hoping that it would loosen up. It didn't.

I'm afraid that I'm going to damage the bridge.
