Thanks Doc will do, I already have the 83TBO, but it's not the kind of guitar you take out on gigs (I would think) more like home and the studio, SO that's why I want to get one of the 500's; Alain was kind enough to point me to one but it's in France, so the logistics taxes and shipping into Mexico do not make it economically feasible; SO let the search continue; It very well may take a while though.
Have a nice weekend,
M.

Alain's referral was the one I had in mind but was not going to take the initiative in discussing openly until I knew he'd contacted you first. Good luck in your quest.

oHH well, hopefully something will turn up; patience! going home for a long weekend and to await the arrival of a new Tribute Hendrix Strat I've been paying on layaway for the past three months; and while waiting; crack open Blackie and play some 70's Clapton.
Great weekend everyone! And thanks for all your help!
M.

I saw one for sale yesterday, on consignment at a dealer in the UK for £20,000!

Seems a bit rich to me, but if you're interested I can point you toward the ad.

Doesn't surprise me, either. Pity. There's someone out there who really wanted to own that guitar at the offered price. Now a speculator steals that opportunity for nothing more than a profit motive. Such is the downside of limited edition. Seems to me that perhaps the better approach to such a project is 'built to order' and available for only 1 year.
