I've never downloaded a picture here. Let's see if I can do it. Here's one of my Wildwood 10 '65 Strat and my 1999 '51 Nocaster.

I love pale blue Strats they are cool and you are zen while playing them

Hmmmm....looks just like the one I saw at the auction preview yesterday. That one was signed twice. 8)

.................and it brought $51240 at auction. By the way, do you happen to know the Russian collector/musician who purchased the 1948 L5? I saw his name in print yesterday but can't find the article today.

BTW I suppose the TBX has been removed when Eric made the switch to the Vintage Noiseless pickups in March 2000.

That's a bit of history that every Clapton Strat owner should know. Thank you.

The same guitar as mine? The 2010 Ltd Ed Daphne Blue Strat? That is insane. That's a $49K autograph!

It seems that the EC Daphne Blue 2010 LTD has inspired the Japanese folks at Crews Maniac Sound to build their own version of the CS original:

I recalled another Japanese maker, Bacchus Custom Guitars, making faithful copies of the original Gold Leaf Strat in 1998.

Hey,
I got lucky enough to snag a Fender Ltd. Ed Custom Shop Eric Clapton Strat in Daphne Blue. It is the best guitar I have had in my hands in my 47 years of playing. I will guard it with my life. I have played everything out there and this is, by far, simply the very best guitar you could dream of owning. I am with you on one thing. If you get a chance to get one, which are now scarce, GRAB it as fast as you can. Hats off to Fender for making the finest guitars you can possibly own.

Wish Fender would make that its standard V-neck, but it's exclusive to the Clapton. Closest you get is the '57VHR.

No the form fitted for a Tele doesn't work with a strat but....

You can get the rectangular case in tweed.
The 56 NOS came with a black case, so I ordered the tweed case afterwards from Sam Ash In New Haven. Much more appropriate for a Time Machine... :)

They should take the same case. It's the offset waist guitars that need special cases.

Or black/grey tweed if you like:

You might find them for less at Musicians Friend
