It always hurts me to see a Fender guitar hanging on the wall, not being played, and because of that i wanted to share these video's of a Custom Shop Strat in action. The way it should be:

(be gentle, i'm just an amateur, who's been playing for about 5 years now)

(it's a 2009 CS 60's LTD)

Hey SaferSephy: Bravo, that is great blues guitar. I admire your pick attack, fluidity and tone.

I am considering the Custom Shop option -- probably a 1957 Time Machine Series with updated neck shape, frets and radius. Of course, listening and playing are the most important keys, but still searching for ultimate sound and playability.

Can you tell us about the pickups and the action on your LTD strat. Also wondering -- are you from the Netherlands? Hard to tell that your band is not from the USA. I love the ambiance of Amsterdam.

Cheers from Washington DC!

Yup entirely from the Netherlands!

The pickups are something unique imo. They have crazy range and dynamics, it allows you to do a lot more with pick attack. Before this guitar i used a Jimmie Vaughan signature where i was pretty harsh on. Now i really need to "tame" myself because picking hard equals LOUD!

Besides that they're just really sweet and round and "woody" sounding. It's just Fender tone, in the most pure way thinkable. Action is lovely, but is set to my needs, i don't like a too low action because i want to really dig into the strings when bending.

The updated neck, radius and frets are an absolute must, mine is 9,5" oval C and dunlop 6105's. I've played the vintage necks also, and they we're just not right for my needs.

also everyone thanks for the nice remarks!
