It has been a fifteen month wait but worth every minute.

Thanks to Mike Eldred for getting me in touch with my new best friend TK.

We were told before Christmas that it was on its way but it has to go to the Netherlands (HQ) before it can come to the UK and we had some snow.

I have mailed TK but if anyone reading this has contact with him, just tell him how pleased I am.

It is my first master built order and like a dipstick I didn't spec tuners. TK has furnished the guitar with some particularly interesting devices. Anyone like to tell me what they are please.

This could be just an excuse to show the pics of the guitar

They appear to be the same nickle plated vintage style kluson type slotted string post tuners used on most of the '50s and '60s reissues only these are a step up. The posts seem to descend in height up the headstock (in pairs of two) to increase the string angle and the holes in the slots reflect the change in string guage. Cool! Do they lock some how too?
Sweet looking guitar. Congrats!

No they don't lock and they do descend in height in pairs. The post seem to have a larger 'capstan' part to the head of the tuner and the slots vary in width.

Yeah., I noticed the capstan and wondered if somehow they locked via a push/pull type thing. Thanks.

I think this guitar is built to the Clapton platform with Vintage Noiseless pickups, active mid-boost circuit (without the TBX) and a highly figured museum-grade birdseye maple neck featuring Eric's personal favourite soft V profile.

those tuners also eliminate the need for a string tree. Looks FANTASTIC!!! just let me save up 4 or 5 grand so I can get one too.

......my thoughts exactly from the way the back of the neck looks at the headstock. Beautiful piece.
