From what I've seen and heard Wildwood has a very good working relationship with the FCS!
Not sure about discounts though!

no the prices aren't the same, you should definitely ask for quotes from various FCS dealers before making a choice.

as far as I'm concerned, all I can say is that Willcutt have very good prices/discounts and I will definitely be ordering what will be my second MB Strat from them.
it's also because they are very easy to deal with when you live overseas, which isn't the case for every dealer.

if you are in the US there are several other dealers you should consider, and I think you already know their names :)

I'm given to understand, from a very reliable source, that you can, and should, negotiate price.

true! at least if the price the dealer gives you is too close to the price you came up with using the new FCS quote sheet.

for example, the Masterbuilt fee is $2,400 MSRP, but it's usually in the $1,500-1,600 range after discount.

...............generous discount there. My guess is that a better example might have been a $3500 'street' against a $5000 'MSRP", though I have no doubt your example was well-intended. I know for a fact that the LTD Clapton Grey which MSRP'd at $3500 could be had for $1000 less in some quarters, and that was Custom Shop, not Masterbuilt.

I was talking about the Masterbuilt fee, which is the amount of money to be added to a regular Teambuilt order if you want it to become a Masterbuilt one

Of course. Then he would have to figure that as part of the total MSRP from which he would hopefully be discounting. Do you see most of these running at 25-30% of MSRP as an average? I seem to.

Yo Sean!! Thanks for the heads up. My son lives out there. I initially thought it's the first I've heard of it in 20 years of his moving around Redmond, Issaquah, Kirkland, and finally Bellevue, but I may have actually browsed the place long time past. I'll have to put it on my 'dumb things I gotta do" list next time I'm out there and refresh my memory. In the meantime, I've forwarded the link to him and asked him if we were ever there.

Doc.
