I picked up my Nocaster and I fitted it with 11's as they were the only strings I could get my hands on at short notice. Having always used 10's they were a surprise but I am discovering their merits.
Anyone had simlar experience?

ciao

I've been plaing 11s for a while, having started on 10s. I've tried 12s, but the wound G was too much of a change for me, and I do like the tone I get with 11s.

11s are a good compromise between playability and sound.
But it depends on what kind of music you play.
When I play rockabilly music, I use 12-52, a Man's gauge

I enjoy playing 11 more than any other gauge. I tried to go back to 10,s once and all I did was break strings. I haven,t tried 12,s yet.

Is there a set that doesn't have a wound G? I've been using D'Addarrios for decades...

Doh!- found regular 12s
