Wow Alain! Talk about a review. The CS is going to be forced to put out a few more BLK1's with a review like that. I felt like I needed to look over my shoulder to make sure the wife wasn't watching the screen...lol.
On a serious note, it's great that you love the guitar that much. I believe that even if I had a collection such as yours, it would be a real bummer to have any of the guitars not meet or exceed expectations.

Thanks just my idea

I'm sure that would be wishful thinking on the part of many but ME was quite emphatic at the outset that the figure '83' was firm in terms of their concept, so that the collectability and value of the guitar as a limited run would be assured. I don't know that they really anticipated how well it would turn out. For me, ufboy's spontaneous decision to buy one, zzspectrezz's 'almost got sucked in', and Alain's exuberance, are enough for me, and I am sure are validation for the entire project, despite all the heated to and fro which was incurred. Birthing a baby is often a difficult process and not without complicatons.

Given the length and time frame of that thread, and what went down on it, you'd have thought otherwise. :?

Congrats Alain!

I completely agree with your saying that you haven't looked at the heights of the pickups or how beveled they are. Who cares? It sounds like a dream, what more do you need?

Correct; but that's the first time I intervene on that subject as I read the previous record long thread without ever participating as, although I appreciate the musical capabilities and sound of JM, I'm not one of his diehard fans. So my intervening was only focused on the guitar itself and its never-seen-before multipacking not to mention the additional soft case with its numerous hidden pockets and multicolored Velcro stickers

Mayer clearly states in the DVD that it's a 2004 model, "people asks what model is it, 62, 64, actually no it's 2004".
Cheers.
