Coming back from a trip out West yesterday I listened to some Walter Trout on my iPod. I got turned on to him over at TGP about a year ago. I have not a clue where I have been the last 51 years, but WOW is he awesome or what?! Just rivers of awesome tones and playing ability coming from his 70s-something Fender Strat. Anyone know any details about his guitar and amp(s)? Is it true he pretty much plugs straight into the amp when he plays?

As far as I know, he has a very simple setup; his white ('72or '73) Strat plugged straight into a Mesa Mark IV and he sometimes uses a Leslie.
I saw an interview of him describing his gear, I'll look for it.
