Put it on layaway. I'll probably have it paid off late next month.

It drew me in, and wouldn't let me go. I had to get it.

Its a Masterbuilt by Yuriy Shishkov, Gold Leaf Clapton.

Anybody have one of these?

Thanks. It's not exactly "instant gratification", but I think it will be worth the wait.

I've never handled or played a MB from Yuriy, but from what I've read, he does great work.

Go to the Custom Shop's Facebook page. Therein you will find information and a link to a newspaper article on a gold leaf project Yuri has completed for Prince....you know...the artist known as Prince, who was formerly known as Prince, and is now known again as Prince. (May have many names but he plays a serious guitar!)
Well, without giving way the whole plot, I'm sure your interest will be satisfied. Do enjoy your new acquisition.

I have one as well! It's a fabulous guitar. Mine is Master Built by Todd Krause. I'm not sure how similar they're made from master builder to master builder, but mine was made with a beautiful flamed neck that is stunning. Alain is right in that it's not fragile and you're able to play it with no problems.

Hope you enjoy it to the fullest when you receive it! It's a great guitar!

Lovely stuff! 8)

I too have a Goldie EC (albeit Lefty and LS instead of VN) from Yuriy - it's fantastic.

I saw one in a guitar store a few years ago - gorgeous!!

I could never pull off a gold-leaf guitar on stage though...I'm just a little too understated.

On a side note, I wonder if/when they'll release a gold-leaf Mayer Strat.

.....highly unlikely that you'd find yourself performing half-naked, either. The newspaper article
is clear regarding the inspiration for it. Clearly a totally performance related effort and one consistent
with the artist's "m.o."

He'll first have to take of his clothes and become the "Artist Formely Known As Mayer".That will likely have to await the completion of all his skin illustrations.[quote]
