Hi everybody,

I'm new of the forum and I kindly ask to the experts an help to verify originality of my new "supposed" CS 69 NOS Stratocaster.
I bought it on ebay (maybe first error...) and after received I checked all parts of the guitar finding something that sounds strange to me.
I'm already aware the guitar had some significant modifications from previous owner:

1) New Perloid pickguard
2) Installed set of CS Texas Special PU's
3) Removed a tone knob to install a 4 position switch to put PU in series
4) Installed a Buzz Feiten System
5) Neck refretted

My bad feelings are because I would expect some signature or stamps about Custom Shop craftman but there aren't, also on the neck heal or in the neck pocket I didn't find the normal "signs" I've on my other strat's or in images I've seen on the Internet. Furthermore the finish appear "satin" instead of glossy I suppose should be as a NOS (just the usage?). The effect is also evident on the top because you can see the 3 junction of the wood pieces.

So I started to think this guitar could be possibly an "assembly" of various part but not an original Custom Shop 69 NOS modded, as it was sold.

Here is the link to some pictures I did of the guitar:

Thanks in advance for any help and comments!

...The price was actractive, not too low to consider the risk of Fake and adequate considering age and modifications.... in any case about 30-35% less than similar guitars but in original conditions... Everything let me thought about a good deal but I was stupid to believe a donkey could fly!

Still, thats alot of money.

Oh well, if you like it, it looks right and it sounds just how you want it to then screw it. You got everything you wanted.

No, sorry but this is not my position.
I wanted to buy a Fender CS 69 Strat, accepting some mods, but not a Fake, even if it sounds good (and it's not that bad).

Meanwhile I could contact the seller and he was unaware of the problem so we are organizing for returning the guitar and complete refund.
