Marshall is a very good amp but if your not wanting to buy like a half stack or stack buy fender. By the way Eric Clapton plays with a marshall stack so thats the company he likes

i didn't vote because it's up to you. Strats both sound great through fenders and marshalls. You can get a half stack for 600 bucks or a fender blues junior. It's all up to you.

Since the "From the Cradle" CD/Tour, Clapton has used several old (and re-issued) tweed Twins almost exclusively--especially live.

Personally, I've always been a Fender tube amp guy--they have the best tone, looks, etc. for my style. My mainstay amp is a 1963RI brownface Vibroverb.
But I love the Marshall Bluesbreaker (I forget which model number that is), Vox AC30, some of the Oranges and most of the Ashdowns are killer. In the past few years, Crate has put out some great-sounding tube amps (the ones Billy Gibbons uses are the bomb!).
But for an all-around great amp, give me a Fender tube amp. For the money, you aren't going to easily beat them.

Good Vibes To Y'all...8)
