It's all to do with the way dates are written in the US and UK! In the US, it's usually written as month, day, year...and here in the UK it's always day, month, year.

The certificate with BC77 is dated 8/10/10...and I actually received the guitar on 8/10/10! :)

And here it is:

Congrats Butterscotch, you've got a very fine instrument.

Lovely looking guitar mate.

Please spill the beans. Give us all the gorey details on it. Limited edition, obviously. Whats the total number of those made?

Limited to 60 world-wide, so I don't know how many, or how few, made it to the UK.
And although not 100% accurate to every detail of the originals, it is a "Broadcaster," and that name hasn't been used by Fender for 60 years!

That's a cool coincidence about the dates.

The US military also uses day/month/year format... makes more sense really.

More pics please!

60 Proto's, 60 Broadcasters, 60 Nocasters, and 60 Esquires.... with 40 of each for sale in the US and 20 of each to international dealers.

I haven't seen any with the maple truss rod fill/plug. The case is different from what was originally speced. And the wiring is vintage style with the blend circuit, not the modern as stated in the specs.

The wood seems to be cream of the crop on all that I have seen.

As soon as they sell out (might be a while with the economy in the shape it's in), they will become instant collectables.

I haven't even read the notes from Mr Fullerton as I put the case and all of the case candy away and use a tweed case with mine. I'll probably get a leather gig-bag so it will be easier for grab and go.

Nice one Ron, I saw they'd landed here atlast. There's another on sale @ £2995.
I'm still feeling cheated and alittle disappointed with Fender CS for the diluted Broadcaster spec though and lack of RELIC work. They couldn't even get a correct case for them, lol.
I see the handful on ebay.com have not had any buyers yet either....sign of the times I guess.

Congratulations! :D I just got my BC39 two weeks ago. The neck is a bit thicker than my 52RI and I was expecting the domed knobs. I guess the knobs changed over those 2 years. I don't mind the light relic - feels more like a closet classic as all the lacquer is still on the back of the neck. The purple case is fantastic and it sounds great - really clean and only a hint of hum. Just one question if I may, how's it that it's BC77 when they're limited to 60?

BC77...when there are only 60?

I don't know the answer to that, other than I believe the numbering is random and non-sequencial.

It may be a question for ME! :)
