I received the Guitar I mentioned I bought last week. I have posted a few pictures and have some questions.

Most Importantly my other Masterbuilt you can clearlysee the Builders name inscribed on the headstock. If you look at this one you can't. You can barely see anything no CS logo. The COA is signed by him. WIldwood Guitars confirmed they sold it as a MB guitar.

Why did Fender not clearly mark this guitar ?

Also can anyone tell me what wood is on the neck by the front of headstock?

Jason uses the old CS Masterbuilt Headstock logo as John English, Fred Stuart etc. did. From the current MBs this logo is used by Stephen Stern too. Yes, its a bit inconsistent from the CS side, but IMO not a big deal. As you probably know the neck butt & the neck pocket should bear the builders signature (on newer MB guitars) and the neck pickup cavity has the MB initials stamped - no relic stamps.

The Headstock wood is for sure the same wood as the complete neck - beautiful, tight-grained quartersawn maple. BTW, nice guitar! Had several Masterbuilts from Jason, he knows his business!

Wow, that is a great looking Tele. Congrats.

I think it looks far better on your carpet than on the WW site.

Glad it worked out for you...

Thanks. Yeah that lite carpet bring out the color in guitars.. I have a band mate that thinks laying a guitar on the floor is a sin..LOL I tell him no big deal especially after it's been dragged behind a truck. Naturally he doesn't like relics.
