If you find removing/replacing 6 screws a "hard job", changing strings must be torture.

There was one on the discontinued Powerhouse Strat which had the same routing and essentially the same boost circuit dumbed down to 12db. I suppose that when you have a guitar tech, the convenience of changing batteries is not a priorioty. Go it the way of JM or EJ and leave the back plate off. That will also make your string changing less of an ordeal.

To the OP: Don't forget to use something to hold the battery in place unless you like it dangling out the back of the body as you play. Velcro is commonly used. Hope that won't be too hard to deal with.
