Hi guys,

It's now been a while since I have started thinking about switching to 10-46.

I have spent years playing with 9's, because I really was into shred and stuff, but now that I got rid of the shredding machines and only have my John Cruz Strat to play Rock and Blues, I'm really starting to feel the need for heavier strings for the G, B and E ones.

My question is really simple: it's not a huge change for the guitar, but still I'm sure there are some basic things to ensure it will play perfectly.
What would you start with once the new strings are on?
Truss rod? springs? what's got to be done?
I guess the intonation setting comes last...

Thanks in advance

Personally I would do a complete setup.

Put on the strings and tune up.

Check and adjust neck relief.

Check and adjust bridge height.

Check and adjust string height.

Check and adjust intonation.
