When I saw these advertised back in Jan, I thought, wow, that's cool, but there's no way.

Then when I saw that my dealer had one in stock, I had to try it.

It was as good or better than any Nocaster that I have owned, so I immediately traded and sold off guitars to get one. Now, I have 1 cool guitar.

The neck is a comfortable U to C shape, starting at the first fret as U, and becoming a C by the 12th fret.

Fretwork is on par for the CS (superb), and the fretboard edges are lightly rolled.

The relicing is light and not over the top.

The neck pup is probably the best Tele neck pup that I have used, it is nice and clear and not muddy in any sense.

The bridge pup is nice, but I have an old reworked grey bottom that goes in my number one. So, I've replaced the bridge pup, I went ahead and kept the bridge plate with the pup and put away in the case.

While I was at it, I removed the wired stock control plate and replace with one wired up as standard tele.

The body is a beautiful one piece:

This guitar weighs right at 7 1/4 lbs, is a nice and lively tele. The guys did an excellent job.

Here it is with the replaced bridge and pup:

Well, I've got it set up to my likings. And, I've installed a Harmonic Designs Mini Strat pup in the neck.

This guitar is awesome!

I've played it so much that I am starting to see fret wear, oh well, in a year, I'll have it refretted with some 6105 wire.

Cool Ron, you'll love it!

I wonder how many of these have sold so far.

BC77 arrived today. Haven't had a chance to plug it in yet, but it's very light, resonant, and rings like a bell unplugged! :)

Congrats Ron, looks like another nice one. The CS crew did a great job of matching necks and bodies for best tone.

If you peek under the control plate, what does yours say?

The booklet contains a copy of a handwritten story of early days at Fender, by George Fullerton.
