I picked up my CS Strat this morning from the dealer and all I can say is...I'm speechless. It's exactly what I've been waiting for every day of the last four months. Perfect, just perfect. The CS '69 pickups are incredible, the craftmanship on this Team Built guitar is extraordinary and the setup and intonation are great. I was already happy with my Malmsteen Strat and thought what could possibly make a guitar even better. NOW I KNOW. :)
This guitar sings. I put it through a Vox amp with a Treble Booster and I'm getting that Machine Head tone I've been dreaming of all this time. I can't be happier.

I'd like to thank everybody involved in the construction of this '71 Closet Classic Strat and Craig Brody at the Guitar Broker in Weston, FL. He's awesome. Here are some picts of the inspiration and the final result.

NICE!!! It's a beauty!

Interesting...did you specifically spec it with that style 11-hole PG..or did the CS do it like that on thier own?

Congrats!!!

Thanks a lot for the comments, guys! My fingers literally hurt right now, I can't put it down! :D
Seriously, going from a scalloped neck -where the strings practically bend themselves- to a regular one...I didn't think it was going to take so much adaptation...my fingertips are taking a beating...

Spectre, I gave the dealer a bunch or pictures of what I wanted, now that you mentioned it I see they all had the 11-hole pickguard. I'm guessing it's period accurate?

It's a great looking AXE! Looks like they put on an "early" '60's style 11-hole pattern PG (pre '64 or '65) I don't remember for sure when the change over happened....just wasn't sure if you specifically asked for it like that or not....Not a big deal either way...especially if she plays and sounds half as good as she looks.

CONGRATS again!

Mike, thanks a lot for the possibility to fix it! Awesome. I hear you, Spectre.
I'd definitely love to have the correct one. How would the process be?
Do I have to resend the guitar back to you guys or is it something that can be done locally?

Hi Mike,
I talked to Customer Service and told the person to call you but he just asked me to send him a picture of the guitar and referred me to the local Sam Ash store for a service appointment with their tech guy.
Just letting you know in case you had another idea in mind.
Thanks,
M.
