hi,
recently got in a trade clapton stratocaster made in 2007.
the guitar plays - wow, soundwise and tha fastest neck i ever played, make me play as fast as hell.

ive done some research, herer at the forum, and checked pics in the web..and then took the guitar apart-
the neck has all the signs of the custom shop,
and the bosy does look like custom shop body(no microtilt, exstra finish at neck cavties) but......... no clapton stamp on neck pickup cavity.

at the neck joint, it seems like a clean finish jpb, as u expect from custom shop body, but no date or something that can id.

it does look like a custom shop body- but could it be that it wont have the clapton stamp?

some one can help me?

Welcome to the Forums. With respect to your question, Mike Eldred will ask for serial numbers and pics (if possible) as a beginning:wink:

someone told me that its not very smart to let my serial published at forum. am i paranoid?

i am sure the neck and coa, are right and evrything is ok, what bothers me the most is the body- even that as far as i researched has all the unique specs and sure look like a custom shop body.

the only thing that is missing is the clapton stamp on body..

thanks for welcoming me- it sure is a great guitar, i was suprised from the quallaty of the guitar and the sound- as i am a vintage fan...
but this v neck and the finsh do something to my fingers......

IMHO everything points to it being Custom Shop...not Masterbuilt....but Custom Shop....formerly referred to as Teambuilt. Mike Eldred would be the one to clear up the confusion.

i put it there to setup her, and he told me in the start that he hate those noiseless pickups, and after he plugged it- he is feeling quite differnt. i dont have any reason to belive its is not legit custom shop, but it still bothers me- why ther isnt any clapton stamp on it?
wating paitiontly, and watching soccer games till mike will come here!!!

good to be here. very intrensting place to share info!
