I don't know if this post should be here, or in the Tele area....but....

It arrived a little while ago, and I've spent the last hour trying to capture the color. It is Sunset Orange Transparent. If I had to describe it, I would say that is is like a pumpkin with some butterscotch thrown in. The wood shows through nicely.

Anyway, here goes:

Thats about as close as I can get, without manipluating the color with Photoshop or something like that. But yes, I would say, a touch more of a butterscotch hue mixed in, and that would be it.

As I stated in another thread, I am going to learn guitar, and this is my first.

Good idea. Might try that tomorrow.

My son gave me a black guard he had laying around from when he tried to play. I think I like it better than the white.

I got her tuned up, and have been doing some finger exercises. I really like how she sounds so far.

The cable it shipped with is really stiff, like a frozen rattlesnake. Will it liven up, or should I get another one right away?

Beautiful guitar; the Custom Classics are the bees knees.
Congratulations!

Looks good with both white and black pick-guards.. but recommend a genuine Fender mint green pick-guard.

I was up way past midnight "playing". I like it a lot, and hope to be able to really make her sing some day.

I have a CS Custom Classic Bing Cherry Translucent Strat and have found it almost impossible to get a photo that looks as good as the guitar.

Plus, it seems that computer monitors tend to put their own "slant" on colors to the photos. My Tele looks pretty accurate on my MacBook, but the colors are a bit too red on my Windows 7 box. Each digital camera adds it own color scheme as well.

I've seen the Bing Cherry, as its gorgeous.

I have started looking at Tele's lately (saw Bill Kirchner live the other night) and yours is one of the most beautiful I have seen. And it's a CS. There is so much difference between stock and CS.

The CS Road Show is in Portland next month. Might have to talk to Mike.

They Custom Shop staff bring some of their new production guitars. Mike will be there with a master builder. A chance to ask your questions in person and sample. And of course a chance to order the guitar of your dreams.

I haven't seen a Tele of that color. Did they do a body wood upgrade on it? How long did you have it on order?

Purely by chance, I found a place that had it in stock.

I'm calling it my PumpkinCaster.

A black pickguard on a candy tangerine Telecaster adds beauty on the guitar.

This Tele would be much better with a set of locking tuners and a B-Bender.
