Hi I was wondering if any one knows for sure this guitar is master built by John Cruz. Its a Fender Custom Shop '60 NOS Stratocaster and it has the initials "JC" on the bottom of the neck but it doesn't have the infamous "John Cruz" signature behind the head of the guitar.

...just to add some typical features of Masterbuilt guitars:

- there's always a decal with the MB signature on the back of the headstock (regarding the current CS MBs: Jason Smith and Steven Stern use the old-style oval "custom built" logo, the other builders use the Custom Shop "V" Logo with the signature on top of the V)

- the bodys doesn't have the typical CS/Relic Stamps, bodys of MB guitars have the MB initials stamped in the neck pickup cavity

- most of the newer MB guitars have matching numbers pencilled in the neck pocket and on the neck butt with a hand written signature of the MB

- the COA of a MB guitar has the signature of the MB instead of the Custom shop manager
