It reminds me of waiting to leave the house with my wife:

Yes just like that. You have a beautiful guitar! My concern is that....

Mike poted on June 21 that they no longer issue these with the WYR addition on the logo. The COA date on the one I am looking at is 7/16 which is well after they are no longer issued. I wouldn't be concerned, but but this is an Ebay guitar.

It the last two days there are 6 daphne blue ECs added to ebay. If they are legit, now is the time to buy one.

Ebay guitar purchasers become second owners and all benefits accruing to owners relative to warranty become void, including the Custom Care Program. ZZZis zzzay do not tell you! Keep that in mind as you rush headlong onward. :?

Understood... The $1700 difference in price will buy a few repairs down the road. I buy most of my guitars from Sweetwater and value that relationship tremendously. They don't have this model and are asking $3800 for it to order it for me. THe $1700 difference is huge at that range. I will pay 20% more to by from a dealer but not 80% more which would be the case here. I might just be getting screwed in this deal but many others here have purchased this strat for the same that I am and are very happy.

Someday I am hoping someone in the know will explain to me how these guitars end up on ebay so cheap and how every dealers sell for the exact same price. No one's in business to lose money but I would think the dealers don't have this kind of markup. It just doesn't add up.

I am not complaining... I just would like to understand.

You won't need any repairs. How often do you send in a diamond for repairs?

These guitar's can be price shopped. Let your fingers do the walking and make some phone calls to other vendors than your favorite. Tell them you're shopping this guitar and ask for their best price. You might be surprised. As for eBay......suppose I have $100K in my kitty to play with an I order 6 of these babies from one vendor. Do you think I might get a price low enough to make, lets say $100 bucks on a guitar.? 8)

I pulled the trigger on the EC Daphne Blue for $2100. THere was nothing wrong with it. It has more sustain that my 2009 dealer bought Mercedes blue. I bought this one to put it away. Can't do that now as it plays so well.

My new 60 NOS Custom Shop Strat in vintage white arrived today with the logo"when you're ready" on the back of the headstock. It was manufactured in June 2010 and the dealer recently received it in a shipment they had on order. I love the guitar and I think the little saying is cute. It is the only custom shop Fender I have with that saying on it, and this guitar is a keeper. I got it at the Music Gallery and I received great customer service from Frank and the guitar was set up exactly the way I wanted it. Great place to do business with and they pack the guitars really good before they ship them to their customers. I used overnight shipping air with UPS. I don't mind spending a few extra dollars to get the guitar to me safe and fast. :D

I'm like that with shipping, too. I hate the thought of my guitar kicking around from truck to depot to truck to depot for 5 days. Lots can happen in that time. But overnight, they only handle it a few times.

Winter can bring some problems as well. 5 days in really cold weather for a guitar I just spend a ton of dough on? I don't think so. Faster the better!

I asked for the new logo to be put on the guitars and certs, and we didn't like the way it looked, so we have changed it back. My fault. Now, a blip in history.

Glad the "when you're ready" slogan got dropped. I actually find that slogan a tad condescending. I actually would be put off buying a guitar that included that slogan on it.

By the way Mike, I've noticed that Two Rock Amplification has changed its advert language from 'Are you ready?' to "Can you feel it?'
