Agreed; these holes were supposed to be for lubrification but if you do so that's the best idea to gather dust in the quickest way...

Hehe  No no no that's not vaseline trust me. It's a grease lubrication and all excess was removed when I put it back together. It does magic to things like this. The tuners are super smooth now!

Stay warm

Mmm jupp John makes some nice playing guitars. I myself own JC1327.
I'm getting one more '60 rosewood but haven't decieded on a JC or a Jason Smith. What you guys think. Anyone own a Jason Smith guitar what is the verdict after playing it for a while?

This 1957 Custom Shop reissue is a gorgeous pearl white with gold hardware. It is another work of Art Esparza. Number 389 to be exact. Inscribed in the neck pick-up cavity is AE 389. It was made in 1992 for delivery to American Music, Fremont, Seattle WA. The neck is birds eye maple. Beauty attracts.

There is foil on the back of the pick guard. A 5 position switch. The neck is vee'd toward the nut and round toward body. It is a players dream.

What are the details on this one? Looks like modern features/hardware instead of vintage...

And here's my other masterbuilt, by Todd Krause. The spec title is 50's NOS but effectively it is a Clapton Strat through and through, no TBX, on board boost, neck.

The neck wood is amazing! This guitar even allows me to sound reasonable :D

Beautiful Flamed Maple Fingerboard. Now that's what I am talkin about!

Thanks for asking.

It´s just an "off the shelf" 2007 Customshop anniversary Masterbuilt. COA says "Custom Stratocaster"

These were speced out with locking tuners, 2point trem, ash body, big headstock on a quatersawn, vintage tinted neck and are supposed to be Closet classics. Obviously Mr. Krause took mine down the relic road quite a bit.
It´s the Customshop strat I play the most because I kinda like the modern appointments. It´s my favorite guitar even though it is nothing really special.
