[quote="AjayTele"]Only one Masterbuilt in the collection...a John Cruz Rosewood Tele.

Image

20 plus years ago I spent a year saving for my 52RI tele. Every week at my guitar lessons I would dream about the gorgeous thing hanging on the wall at the music store. I don't know what it wasa about that guitar but I had to have it.

Now this guitar is giving me that same feeling. I will have one, oh yes I will.

Mark.

I officially made it to the club! My MB strat just came on Tuesday! As you could imagine, I've been a bit preoccupied with it for the past few days. :D

Sorry for being a tease. I posted it on the Strat form already. Here is a 1969 NOS Strat Masterbuilt by Greg Fessler.

The guitar is very deceptive when you look at it head-on because as soon as the viewing angle changes, you see its true colors.

Being a Les Paul guy for 15 years I decided I NEEDED a Stratocaster after somebody showed me a link to John Mayers "Belief" Live at Abbey road studios.

Pretty much the same day I started to shop for a CS strat. Not as easy as you would think here in Germany.
I found this one in a small shop in the U.K. and had it shipped to me.

Best guitar I have ever owned and ever played. I just love it! If I could only have one guitar - well - all my Customshop Les Pauls would have to go...

Strange thing is that I cannot find a lot of discussion about this model anywhere online. Not many people seem to have these although I would have thought a 20th Anniversary guitar would be a big thing for the Customshop.

I spoke to someone at the Music Zoo prior to pulling the trigger on this one and he assured me it was a good guitar....... OH Boy, how right was he??

I love it! The 69 pickups have since become my favorite clean tone.

Here are some pics.

Agreed.
These rosewood teles are simply stunning (soundwise also); be they in satin or gloss finish.

This Strat is amazing looking! And I have to say that you're words about this Strat versus your Custom LP's is quite the testament to Fender craftsmanship. Good show!
