Hmm.....

Somebody at Fender must have called the chain store I bought from.
The sales associate just called me to see "how my Custom Shop was working out".

Thank you whoever did that.

markr01000, wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything, just trying to say give FCS a chance to make it right before you run them under the bus. Like others have stated, FCS has a formal process for issues like this and, from everything I have read on these forums, they seem to do a very good job of resolving them. Give 'em a chance, they'll take care of you! :D

Fair enough. Thanks

You all have convinced me to give the Custom Shop a shot at making it right. Fender is lucky to have loyal customers like you. I hope this is quickly taken care of and I end up ordering a few more CS units.

Hi Mike,
I'd rather name the store in a Forum
Just my general rule.
This board doesn't support Private Messaging (PM) ?

I thought somebody at Fender figured out which store and called them.
After all, how many Custom Shop Jeff Becks shipped to Orlando in the last two weeks :)
The sales associate from the chain store called the other day "just to see how my Jeff Beck was working out". That didn't seem like a coincidence. They never do that, and I've bought many high end guitars from them.

Has anyone seen a picture of this bad CS guitar yet? I for one would love to see it with the flaws included in several pictures. Maybe it's on the other thread. Let me go look.

Nope!! No pictures. Mike Eldred asked for pictures early in the first thread and was ignored. Also the serial numbers are wrong according to Mike. Mike also said the problem could have already been resolved with a little help and less complaining. Of course I'm paraphrasing. Something 's wrong here. Hmmmm!! :?

Guess I'll do like ME and move on!!

I dropped it off at the chain store in Orlando this evening.
Showing them the serial I told them how Mike said the serial cross-checked as another model. The tech is out until Tuesday, I should hear something within a week or two.

It occurred to me on the way home that a hollow thin sounding pickup can be wired out of phase. Maybe it's as simple as that. I know the JB has a deep angle tremolo, but it rubs against the chrome as it is being threaded, at least that what it seems like to me.

You want pictures of the tone ? :D

Doesn't sound like it from the tone of your post....

Serail number wrong ?
You saying' I can't read a 4 digit number ?
It's 4783.

"Mike also said the problem could have already been resolved with a little help and less complaining"....
Sure could have....If the Fender rep on the phone gave me correct service info in the first place.

This is obviously bothering some of you a lot more than it is me.
It's JUST a guitar people.

ME,

This also apply to French people; you've been here....
But speaking the local language was a huge advantage when negotiating, so it was almost compulsory in my "previous" life.
