Anyone here own one of the LTD 2010 Clapton's? I'm looking to buy a CS EC, but can't decide on just a CS, or the LTD version. Any opinions would be appreciated. I've read the other thread on price differences if you shop around. I can get a "Thin Skin" for about $2400, and I've heard you can find the LTD for about the same. I'm more curious if there is a difference other than the LTD availability, is it just a color thing?

Thanks.

It's just a color thing, and of course the obvious Ltd edition logos on the back of the headstock (if you are buying Teambuilt) and the neckplate. Early European customers also got a black Ltd edition CS case, however I understand Fender currently delivers the instruments in a standard CS case.

Haha, nah no pics from me. I don't do technology - only beer & food & guitars :D
He mostly used the Daphne Blue but got the Grey out for the tuned down stuff (Forever Man, Voodoo Chile etc..etc)

Fantastico gig 8) Lovely "Georgia" with Steve & Eric on electric (unlike previous shows where Steve did it solo).

Ah, great to hear it was a good gig. I'll be seeing them next week! :D

Anyone knows if EC uses a heavier string gauge on the downtuned songs? On the EC/Winwood DVD I noticed it's tuned down a full step to D.

Did he play Little Wing? How long was the set?

No Little Wing at this show. The full setlist can be found on Where's Eric although they incorrectly state "Shape I'm In from Money & Cigarettes" - It's actually Shape I'm In by The Band :) Bit of confusion there by somebody!

I think it ran from 20:00ish until 22:30ish

I've just watched the LG Arena show of 18/5/10. Both former Blind Faith bandmates were amazing.

While Eric fooled around his dark pewter and daphne blue Strats, Steve decided to get a something different thing instead of his usual seafoam green Plus with the Gold Lace Sensors: a sunburst Custom Shop Strat with Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups and active TBX/MDX electronics.

Hmm, Vintage Noiseless + TBX + MDX... sounds like a Clapton Strat in sunburst. Just checked some pics on Flickr, it seems like Steve has stopped using the Cybertwin as well. Can't figure out what is the new amp though...

I never checked that. Even though I was seated very front row & center the stage was quite high. I could see Eric's tweed though.

Maybe a Deluxe Reverb, perhaps? :?:

I hope Eric brought back his much conventional cropped Yardbirds-era hairstyle (as shown on this 2006 photo below) for the Crossroads Guitar Festival 2010 in June. The long hair makes him less recognizable in the eyes of many fans.
