What's the difference between the Custom Shop Jeff Beck Guitar and the regular one? I have the custom shop model wich is my best guitar ever!
And I don't mind that the one jeff beck plays now is totally different then these models (basswood body for instance).

No that's not it, the artist model has locking tuners as well, but the one i have has sperzel but then some of them have schallers. I think that just depends on what fender had in stock at the time the built it..

Yes, but according to Fender techs, the only difference in hardware is the tuners. As they stated it to me the difference you are paying for is having your guitar built "by the same guys that build Jeff Beck's"

There are quite a few differences with the CS model. An absolutely phenomenal guitar. As with most sig models the artists really know what they are doing and understand what little things make a big difference. This article explains the differences.

I'd like a lot the older version with the Lace Sensors, the splittable dually humbucker in the bridge position and the good 'ole fat bat neck!

The sparkling black and midnight purple JBs are by far the most coveted, IMHO!

The original Jeff Beck Strat was offered in Seafoam Green, Vintage White (shown above) and Midnight Purple. I believe the Sparkling Black finish was available only on the Custom Shop versions of that guitar.

Yeah i like the older model to but i already have a strat plus that's pretty similar except for the dually bridge pickup.
I totally agree with the review posted above that the jeff beck strat has a perfect melting pot of vintage/modern features :).

Jeff used his midnight purple Strat in many great occasions, from the all-stars blues jam with BB King at the Apollo amphitheatre of NYC in 1993 to the "Mustang Sally" video with Buddy Guy in 1991.
