I just ordered my CS Deluxe Strat today. Now I have to agonize over the next 90 days or so for it to get here.

I wandered off the trail a bit; My dealer can get pretty much any color on it, (maybe they all can), and I went with Sherwood Green. I had seen that on a Custom Classic and thought every little thing about it looked great. The mint PG is a good match for the Sherwood and it also looks good with a rosewood board.

I wanted something different as I have an Eric Johnson in 2-tone SB and a sunburst American Deluxe Strat as well as a black Clapton. This will be different than any of that. The second choice would have been Tangerine followed closely by Dakota Red and Sonic Blue.

Only 89.5 days left!!!

I ordered it from Bizarre Guitar in Reno.

Greg Golden, the owner, is a long-time friend of mine. The store is unbelievable. He has a selection of new and vintage instruments that is really not matched by any store I have ever been in.

Contact Bruce Eibert and he will help you get what you want. My understanding it that they can order colors that are not in the main pallette, which is what I did for mine.

Sherwood Green Custom Classic?

Well, here's a Custom LTD 1959 thinskin reissue finished in that color. This Strat is not mine.

1959 was the last year for the 1-ply 8-hole pickguard. With the introduction of the rosewood fingerboard over the 2-piece maple neck, Fender changed the pickguard design to the conventional 3-ply (4-ply on some colors) 11-hole in 1960.
