I recently purchased a set of Texas Special Pups to put into an Am. Std. Strat. After installing, and before restringing, I plugged into a practice amp and lightly tapped the cover of each pup as I went through the different switch positions. This is something that I have done in the past which lets me make sure all my soldered connections are correct before wasting time and strings. Everything checks out okay, except that I notice that the clicking sound I am getting from the bridge pup has quite a bit less volume to it than the neck and middle pup. I have not experienced this with ones I have installed in the past. Since this is my first set of Texas Specials (with a reverse wound middle pup), I was wondering if this is something that someone else may have experienced too.

Not sure what/how you are tapping the cover

Before I string, I grap a piece of excess string and tap it
directly on one of the magnetic pole pieces, metal to metal

They are not always the same volume, not to scientific a method,
but it's clearly tell ya if one aint working

but any noticeable volume diff was cuz I had the tone control
adusted way on, I always roll the tone controls when I test
also. That's usually where I leave something off
