Ah, thanks a million Mike!!!

(but darn it, you're totally killing me on the USD exchange rate by sending so many of these great NAMM-show guitars to Europe, lol! :( :( :( )

You know, in Europe some people have exactly the reverse idea

Hum.. presently the Euro is quite weak against all currencies, including the US$.

(But I do realize that the above two exchange rates are in fact the exact inverse of each other (as the word "Inverse" would indicate, lol), and that, therefore, if the guitar had been simply converted to EUR using the "non-inverse" rate, that, if I were to then buy that guitar from here and therefore be charged at the Inverse rate, the cost should come out to exactly the same as what I would have to pay for the same guitar domestically. But for some reason, it does not. Every guitar that I have looked at in France etc. does not have a EUR price that is (currently roughly) 75% of its original USD price. Rather, the EUR price is often slightly higher than the original USD price. For example, an Ash ("Crimson Transparent") American Standard Telecaster is 1290 EUR at http://www.floyd-music.fr/ , and 1149.99 USD at all the major US mega-stores. So, if I were to buy the floyd-music.fr instance at this moment, I would be paying 1751.09 USD, versus the 1149.99 USD domestic price. I do not know why this is. Perhaps there is a massive tax or surcharge assessed in Europe to import these guitars in the first place? But regardless, it just does not look cost-effective to buy them in the inverse direction.)

Correct.

I live in sweden and here the vat is 25% and also when you bring anything in to the country you have to pay for customs to clear it then we have the freight from the us.

there is the extra costs for the guitar.

it would prolly be cheaper to go to france and buy it duty freee and then bring it back to the us for you.

No ,
When it enters the EEC you pay VAT and custom exise.
And you would have to pay for Fender Europe (in Netherlands), then Fender France, then, the Dealer..
See ?
