No you shouldn't get it. It's a great looking guitar, I love tele's with a humbucker, but if you're questioning whether or not you can afford it then you can't. You'll save yourself alot of grief if you pass on this one.

If you can afford it then what's the problem?

If you want to go the used route, start looking at online dealers, alot of places have used CS models and check out gbase.com too.

Huge differance between a AV and a CS. I do like the American Vintage guitars but not even close to a CS guitar.

Hey Nevin

I agree with you on that one 3200 + tax is a way too much money for a guitar. People say that CS guitars are appreciated after being owned for a while. In my experience just by playing in the store for about 30 min or so none of CS models except CS 59 ($5400 + tax CAD) impressed me. They are nice don't get me wrong but are not that much better than Am DLX.

You are "ready"! Take the plunge and don't look back. If for some reason you don't jive with the guitar, I'm sure someone would be willing to take it.

I am from Toronto and Cosmo Music in Richmond Hill has some sweet CS guitars and other high end guitars upstairs in the "special" room. I was there a couple of weeks ago and did not see a CS59 anymore, but there are others.

I will agree with you there. I have a limit on what I will pay for an ax on the web. Something really special would have to be a hands on ears open situation.

I am trying to take the leap to a custom shop also. I am a relatively new guitarist (lessons for 2 yrs) but my thought is that it is very difficult to make an ebay purchase for an expensive guitar that I can not play first. It may look nice and have all the features I want but I am afraid it won't be "the one" that I can bond with. Although, if it is ordered as a custom shop you may end up in the same situation.

The way I see it.

Theres a guitar that may be perfectly suited to you for $3200. If you shell out and it matches 85% of your ideal guitar, its a waste of money. It will always leave you feeling, what if?

Myself looking at it, it's a perfect Keef guitar. Is that your perfect guitar though? For another couple o' K you can have your hearts desire.
