this is one of the first actual videos of me playing in a few months, mostly because I love my Jamvox system so much, I just take the audio and set it to pictures.

so the chain is:

'64>TS808>Boss RC20XL>Marshall MG100 Halfstack (ltd. ed red color, I might add ;) )

note - I hit a few sour notes, but that is why it is a work in progress! lol

enjoy, and feel free to comment.

I would love to compare the masterbuilt Fat 50s in my '64 to the pickups that will be going into "The Black One"... if they will be sounding similar, then why bother getting it? lol

if that would be the case, I'd most likely use a bit of the money and finally acquire a Reverse Prototype Stratocaster - one of the one strats besides TBO I've always wanted!

Sounds great Chanman!!!
Sounds pretty similar to the tone I achieve with my am. std. strat. and 808
What are your settings for the 808 - mine are 11 drive 12 tone and 1 level. I have a 5 and a half volume boost coming from the katana pushing the pedal.

thanks man :D

I'll have to take a look at my 808 and see. the exact position escapes me at the moment lol

I've just recently finished the bridge of the tune and am writing a B-section, which I thought I'd try out some cool whammy stuff a la J Beck (I didn't think of it til after I recorded! lol)

Thats pretty cool!!! I was playing one love by bob marley today, and recorded a base track, rhythm track, and out of phase track all loopping together, but for solo, I had my 808, with my keeley bd-2 and buddy guy wah!!! I found that when using the wah with the trem, you can get some pretty simulated flutter effects - - -if that makes sense (rocking the toe down and up on the wah while using the trem)

Are the fat 50's that come on that guitar the ones that you can buy or are they made for that guitar?

the ones in it were specially wound for that run. Mike said in the video they were pretty overwound.

here is Mike's demo:

apparently they decided to expand the run to 50 guitars in a few other colors than the 3 he talks about, like Lake Placid Blue, and C. Tangerine (my color)
