Just wondering if the Shop makes period correct high end component amps to order. I'm an old amp tech guy, and not familiar with what the Fender Company has to offer the folks that want the higher end amps. Can component brands be specified in the build? Are NOS components available? What customer requests can be accommodated by the Shop? ART

I don't think the Custom Shop is building amps at this time. If they were, I'd be all over it myself, with some sort of '57 tweed twin modded for a bit more gain and Vintage 30s :)

The "Custom" series are usually close to "period correct" and I think are Fenders top of the line guitar amplifiers.

They did at one time. I have a one off 100 watt Prosonic head with Reverb I bought from Brad Whitford. Still has the property of Aerosmith tag on the rear. Bruce Zinky handbuilt this one himself with the power transformers a 4 6l6 power section from the Tonemaster. It is a true custom one off.
Don't know if this is still being done though.

They did at one time, and do with certain limited series, though I don't if the amps were actually "custom" other than the artwork on the amp.
