I was watching the Clapton Sessions for Robert J DVD, Session II, thought it was interesting that EC was using an older Strat loaded with Lace Sensors rather than the Noiseless on the first 3 cuts....switched to the Noiseless later....

The original Clapton MIA sig models in th e'90s had Lace Sensors, as did the Beck, & Burton models.

I just thought that it was interesting that he hasn't moved on from the Lace Sensors entirely as he plays the Noiseless 99% of the time....

Noiseless Technology was not brought out til around like 2000-2001 ish. so if the DVD is footage from around the 90s, then of course he wouldn't have them yet.

Clapton uses whatever he wants. the LS have a charm to them the Noiseless can't provide. I actually prefer LSs clean over my Noiseless. today he still uses them from time to time.

Was he using that guitar for slide? That wouldn't be out of the box for him.
.....and.....ditto on Chanman's preference, though the SCN's are pretty damn good in their own right. I've had those in a midboost circuit as well.

Yes on the slide....Doyle plays the lead slide on his Junior....Clapton plays some slide fills but mostly fingers...
