Cool. What's the official color of that one? Looks like Sonic Blue.

We have one of these in the store I work at in EC Grey - an absolute masterpiece (Mark Kendrick built). The neck is superb with AAA grade quartersawn flame maple, it weighs like a feather and rings really well - a world class instrument.

Hi Ed!:

Where's that finish on the grey scale compared with the Pewter? The original Clapton 'grey' in '88 was to be called Anthracite and shortly thereafter changes to Pewter. Wonder was the prototype, seen on the cover of Duchossoir's book, actually darker than the production guitars which followed. I have an '89 and it looks lighter than the guitar on the cover. Also curious if that EC Grey is the same as the Ferrari Grigio Silverstone.

What can you tell us?

Patient is not the issue. I'd hate to wait his table in a fine restaurant. The rest would have eaten and gone home before he ordered. Remember all that back and forth about the blue finishes?? Then the back and forth about the Grigio, and the Grey's. If my memory serves me on his last post, he ordered a black guitar. I just hope he's happy with what they send him.

Following on the heels of Eds observations....I've said it before and I'll say it again....hard choice between the Gilmour and the Clapton as to the best damn Stratocaster Fender ever built. 8)

Miight as well have one of each.

Correct Doc! Now that you remind me I remember him finally going with the black. What a shame he could have ordered that from the get go. I hope he is happy.
I'll stick with the Gilmour myself! If I could afford another the Clapton would be in the running.

I certainly hope so, because I plan to break open a bottle of 'bubbly' and raise a glass to you on the occasion.
