Hi guys,

Have been wondering, although logic dictates that it's okay, can a relic'd neck be cleaned with lemon oil ? As long as one is careful about not touching the still shiny ends of the neck with it.

Thanks a lot.

Well, if it's a relic, why would you want to clean anything on it?

Damaged and dirty are two different things to me, especially when it comes to how comfortable your neck is :]

Use a dry micro-fiber cloth, you'll see how efficient it is (even for the whole guitar)
lemon oil is only for rosewood fretboards.

I have one of these (a Planet Waves one) and I haven't even unpacked it yet. Will do so today and test it then, thanks :]

I live in Arizona, the Luthier I deal with suggests a very lightly damp soft cotton cloth and then a regular polishing towel, He does not suggest any oils or polishes on the guitar necks. All my relics have maple frettboards and I use the same procedure.
