Alain, once again you have outdone yourself.

I couldn't think of anything that could better the Russin Yuri, but you have managed to do it.

How can you possibly get a more beautiful guitar then this?

- - - on second thoughts - - - you may just do it! !

Best Wishes

Caleb

For some reason the phrase "Jewel in the Crown" keeps entering my mind when I see the pics! :)

i've considered some of his collection as guitars in art. He's always maintained that his guitars were 'players' first, and art second. This one ought to take a pass on that philosophy and be put on a shelf, so to speak.

Maybe not exactly. I buy some players and I buy some art; but I do insist that the art ones must be playable. The playable ones must have something special otherwise they end up being sold (this happens regularly). I never sold any art one for the time being.

Ah! Eye-C  'Playable'...but not necessarily to be played, might that be it? Belt rash.....even belly rash.....would not enhance this one.

Bad news my friends; I've got a wife ( a lovely understanding one, so those you keep them for your whole life) two sons, 28 & 26; so I may say it's a full house.
Agreed, nobody under my roof has a real passion for collecting guitars. The sons just wish to go to bed without any particular gift for guitar playing and to wake up the next day calling for the Monterey as they could play like Jimi Hendrix (What a crap those short lived Authentic Hendrix BTW).
Well at least the insurance appraisal will give them some clue ...but Hey, there is no rush; I'm only 64...

Absolutely correct Doc notwithstanding the fact that the previous owner, fan of its sound , played it as a player but with great care for it as it is in pristine condition There was a pair of white gloves in the case.. (please, no... no relation with the late MJ)

Hello Alainlafrance,

Alain that Stratocaster is magnificent.
It's my favorite of your exceptional collection.
Many thanks for sharing with all of us.

Cheers.

Alain, what is weird about the COA? Is it because John didn't sign it?
John Page did as CS manager. Mine has Fender written between the V and custom shop across the V. Got me curious now. I know it's the different street address at the bottom.
Heck the more I inspect the more differences I see but mine is not as old as yours!

Beautiful guitar!!! :) 8)
